This scheme is directed towards professional artists. Although one does not need to have a steady income from one's art, a detailed account of ones artistic history and career to date is required.
Any artist living in the Gaeltacht working in any artform is eligible to apply (writers, musicians, actors, dancers, visual artists, etc)
Aim of the scheme.
To recognise good quality artistic standards by awarding a bursary to Gaeltacht based artists, with great artistic capability.
Support the individual artist to -
- improve their arts practice and their career opportunities.
- add to their artistic skills, and raise their artistic potential.
- develop new work.
